Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Chicago for an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing environment. The role focuses on designing and refining production workflows across CNC/machining, sheet metal, welding, and assembly to boost efficiency, quality, and cost performance.

Responsibilities include leading APQP projects, creating fixtures, developing tooling, and analyzing KPI data to drive continuous improvements. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to maintain production routers and BOMs.
• Knowledge of CAD and design principles of additive manufacturing.
• Haas VF-4 setup and operating experience is a plus.
• Experience maintaining production route documents is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing training is a plus.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Creates and revises CNC programs (Haas VF-4 & UMC-750) using Autodesk Fusion.
• Designs fixtures and other equipment for the production process using Autodesk Inventor.
• Utilizes additive manufacturing to produce fixtures and other equipment.
• Maintains and revises production routers and other production documents.
• Analyzes process data to identify improvements.
• Analyzes production KPI’s and manufacturing cost data.
• Creates production work instructions.
• Creates test procedures.
• Leads APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) projects.
• Submits ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) as necessary.
• Leads Lean Six Sigma projects.
