Job summary

Toledo Tool & Die is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Maumee, Ohio to design and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and workflows to meet quality and efficiency goals. You will support new program launches, process validation, equipment installation, and continuous improvement initiatives across all plants.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s in a manufacturing/ mechanical/ industrial field and 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting; experience with lean methods, GD&T,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment (stamping, welding, and assembly preferred).
• Experience with lean manufacturing, process improvement, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes, routings, and work instructions for new and existing products.
• Design, specify, and validate tooling, fixtures, gauges, and equipment to support production requirements.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and structured problem‑solving methods to reduce scrap, rework, downtime, and cycle time.
• Utilize SMED to decrease changeover times.
• Support new product launches, including APQP, PFMEA, process flow diagrams, control plans, and run‑at‑rates.
• Lead equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and qualification for new and replacement machinery.
