Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Columbus, MS to drive process development, documentation, and improvements for engine manufacturing. The role requires a BS in engineering and 1–2 years of experience, with Lean/Six Sigma tools preferred.

You will work across teams to ensure stability, tooling readiness, and efficient production launches. Responsibilities include process definition, equipment coordination, and collaboration on new engine programs, with reporting to plant leadership.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering is required.
• 1–2 years experience required.
• Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma tools are desired.
• MS or MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops new and improved manufacturing processes with documentation.
• Achieves process stability via FMEAs and control plans.
• Specifies, procures, and approves tools/equipment for flexible manufacturing.
• Maintains equipment project books, FMEA standards, and IT integration.
• Supports new engine development projects and related process changes.
• Leads priorities in working groups and reports to area management.
• Maintains torque control tool parts management and DC tool backups.
• Develops plant arrangements for material handling and storage.
• Participates in commissioning and new product launches.
