Job summary

Reading Truck Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, maintain, and audit manufacturing and assembly processes. You will advance operations by designing safer, more repeatable, reliable, and cost-effective fabrication, assembly and finishing processes and equipment.

Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability, review sketches, promote safety, and drive lean initiatives to meet customer requirements and improve productivity. Based in Reading, PA.

Qualifications

Five (5) years of relevant experience
Experience with sheet metal manufacturing technologies, including fabrication and finishing
Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA and their applications
Experience with Lean Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and audit manufacturing and assembly processes.
Improve efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Project manage assembly and manufacturing projects.
Design and analyze labor and space requirements to maximize efficiency.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability.
Review product sketches and provide design support for manufacturing.
Promote safety policies and develop safety solutions.
Support lean initiatives and drive productivity improvements.
