Job summary

Harley-Davidson Motor Company in Wisconsin is seeking an Engineer Manufacturing to enhance assembly manufacturing, ensuring tooling, documentation, and equipment meet safety, quality, delivery and cost goals. You will support New Product Launch events and drive day-to-day improvements with cross-functional teams.

The role requires lean manufacturing knowledge, 3+ years of related experience, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
Demonstrated understanding and practical application of lean manufacturing techniques.
Detail process planning including work balancing, standard development, ergonomics, and gaging.
Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and their relation to company procedures.
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction and training in developing new processes and resolving manufacturing problems.
Collaborate with product engineering to design parts for manufacturability.
Deliver productivity improvements to reduce total manufacturing cycle time.
Reduce overall costs through tooling and process improvements.
Provide robust processes, tools and gages to reduce variation in manufacturing.
