Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks in Lincoln, NE seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to support APQP documentation, design and optimize manufacturing processes, and assist with change management in a safety-conscious environment. You will contribute to Gemba walks and lean improvements, tracking cost savings and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • APQP concepts and structured launch processes.
  • Lean, TPS, or Six Sigma principles.
  • CAD modeling and drafting.
  • ERP/MRP systems and production documentation.
  • Manufacturing codes (ASME BPVC, ASME SA249, ASME B31, UL/ISO/JIS) with ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing APQP documentation (PFMEA, control plans, process flows).
  • Support engineering change documentation and risk assessments.
  • Participate in cross-functional reviews and data gathering.
  • Gemba participation and waste-reduction activities.
  • Support capital project data collection and cost-benefit inputs.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and SOPs.
  • Support safety initiatives and EHS compliance.
