Job summary

Butcher Power Products in Sacramento, CA, designs and manufactures mission-critical power solutions for essential infrastructure. The Manufacturing Engineer will develop, improve, and manage production processes to ensure efficient output, high quality, and cost control.

You will work with production teams, QA, and design engineers to optimize workflows, lead lean initiatives, and implement new equipment and procedures while maintaining thorough documentation and data-driven KPIs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvement.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
• Proficient with CAD software and engineering documentation tools.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Provide technical production support and troubleshoot process/equipment issues.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and boost productivity.
• Specify, procure, install new equipment, fixtures, and tools.
• Collaborate with design/R&D to transition new products into production.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and equipment manuals.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and KPIs.
• Support quality control with process controls and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
