Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Akron, Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate across teams. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 3+ years experience in manufacturing, particularly within the automotive sector. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, and launch readiness activities.
  • Familiarity with injection molding processes and tooling.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, Production.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support launch activities for new programs and equipment installation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to minimize downtime.
