Job summary

Sportworks in Monroe, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and enhance manufacturing methods, equipment, and processes. You will lead projects, collaborate across teams, and apply 3P and DFM/ DFA approaches to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

The role requires a solid engineering background, hands-on weld/fab experience, and expertise in machine control and CNC/robotics programming. You’ll support NPD initiatives and ensure safe operation of machinery on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience or a master’s degree with 3+ years is required.
• Extensive knowledge in welding, assembly, and fabrication.
• Experience designing machine control systems and troubleshooting motors, sensors, relays, etc.

Responsibilities

• Champion LEAN Manufacturing and drive continuous improvement with the Operations Team.
• Evaluate existing processes with operations to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead assigned projects and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Design parts, tools, and processes in support of New Product Development (NPD).
• Promote cross-functional involvement using 3P and DFM/ DFA methodologies.
• Serve as programming lead for CNC, automated, and robotic work cells.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed for machine operation.
