Job summary

Action Target Inc in Provo, UT is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems and processes. The role collaborates across teams to enhance quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or engineering and 1–2 years of process improvement experience are expected. Proficiency with CAD (Creo 2.0 preferred) and engineering fundamentals is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or have received bachelor’s degree related to manufacturing processes or engineering
• 1-2 years process improvement experience
• Effectively use CAD system for 3D modeling and 2D drawings (Creo 2.0 preferred)
• Knowledge of engineering first principles (physics, thermodynamics, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
• Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
• Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
• Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
• Supervise technicians, technologists, analysts, administrative staff, or other engineers.
• Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness.
