Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to enhance production efficiency in Mocksville, NC. You will design and refine manufacturing methods, work with design, quality and operations, and implement improvements to reduce costs while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 4+ years in manufacturing engineering, with expertise in machining, GD&T and tooling. Onsite travel up to 15%. Eligible benefits included.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong understanding of CNC, CAD/CAM/CAE and machining processes.
  • Fluent in GD&T, tolerance analysis and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Suggests, evaluates, implements & manages multiple manufacturing projects from beginning to end.
  • Evaluates, develops and implements machining processes on current or future assets.
  • Implements capital equipment including evaluation, selection, run-offs, and implementation.
  • Maintains manufacturing best practices including precision machining, lean manufacturing, and machine tool / tooling technologies.
  • Evaluates non-conforming material and provides proper disposition.
  • Leads special projects including NPD, insourcing, productivity and capital procurement.
  • Designs tooling, gages and fixtures using 3D modeling software.
  • Develops manufacturing routings internal and sub-con operations.
