Job summary

Cat-i Glass is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to drive improvements in lean processes, implement automation, and qualify new machinery in a fast-paced production setting. The role requires CAD experience, PLC knowledge, and a BS in engineering with multiple years in manufacturing.

Responsibilities include designing fixtures and automation, training staff, and collaborating across departments to reduce setup times and boost yields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or equivalent engineering degree.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost through Lean principles and engineering fundamentals.
• Analyze, design, and build fixtures, tooling, machinery or small automated systems to improve processes.
• Specify, acquire, and implement new machinery and automation in a developing manufacturing environment.
• Train production supervisors, operators, and maintenance technicians on new or modified machinery or processes.
• Communicate across departments and collaborate with leads on manufacturing improvements.
• Provide essential support to designated production departments and processes.
