Job summary

We Do The Search is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at a plant site southwest of the Atlanta, GA metro area. The role focuses on designing production tooling and processes to maximize efficiency, and to lead cross-functional teams in implementing productivity improvements.

You will analyze layouts, workflows, and workforce utilization to meet product specifications. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering, SolidWorks proficiency, tooling experience, and strong background in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
• Must have tooling experience and project management skills.
• Automation experience including robotics and PLCs is required.
• Experience as a manufacturing engineer in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design production tooling and layouts using 2D/3D software (SolidWorks).
• Implement productivity improvements on current production lines.
• Perform root cause analysis using statistical methods and lean tools.
• Design and implement production processes for new or changed products.
• Conduct FMEAs for products, materials, or processes.
• Review designs for manufacturability and optimized processing.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve productivity and lead design reviews.
• Develop work instructions, BOMs, and spare parts inventories.
• Oversee automation, robotics, vision systems, and tooling integration.
