Job summary

The role focuses on applying lean principles, root-cause analysis and cross-functional teamwork to eliminate waste and enhance process capability for current and new products. Candidates should have a engineering degree and hands-on manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

  • BA degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Automation experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • 0–8 years of work experience; internship/co-op accepted.
  • Lean manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes root cause and corrective actions for customer quality concerns.
  • Leads production teams to resolve process and performance issues affecting productivity and on-time delivery.
  • Identifies and eliminates bottlenecks and barriers to one-piece flow.
  • Works with internal and external suppliers to ensure materials meet requirements.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to implement new manufacturing processes for new products.
  • Develops and maintains production documentation and standard work.
  • Supports design input on process capability during new product development.
  • Supports Operations Excellence through continuous improvement projects.
  • Identifies and mitigates potential safety hazards in production.
