Caterpillar Inc. in Seguin, Texas, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the IPSD team.

You will drive the maintenance and improvement of assembly processes for generators from 35kW to 850kW, lead cost and process improvements, and support NPI to ensure manufacturability and timely releases. Responsibilities include process design, problem solving, and leading lean initiatives across planning, tooling, and plant engineering while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage manufacturing and assembly projects.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day process problems and implement solutions.
• Design processes aligning with takt time for high quality production.
• Lead continuous improvement activities including PFMEA, PPAP and ISO requirements.
• Coordinate tool design reviews, cost estimates, and releases with stakeholders.
• Analyze engineering changes and implement updates.
• Support NPI to ensure manufacturability and on-time release.
• Adhere to quality, cost, safety and ergonomic standards.
