Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Indiana to optimize tooling, equipment, and processes across stamping, welding, and machining. You will drive new product launches, define cost-saving measures, and improve overall plant efficiency.

Responsibilities include designing tools and fixtures, quoting new work, and leading tooling trials with hands-on experience in AutoCAD and Inventor. The role requires hands-on expertise and proven engineering results.

Qualifications

• Background in tool and die maintenance and repair.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and research manufacturing processes using knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials.
• Design and advise on manufacturing tools, fixtures, and fabrication equipment, including light design for stamping dies and locating/machining fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and support: resolve operational issues in metal forming processes, including stamping, welding, and press brake operations.
• Draft and maintain: create part inspection drawings and Process Inspection Records using AutoCAD and Inventor software.
• Develop and improve: establish robust manufacturing workflows and continuous process improvements to ensure consistent product quality.
• Analyze and quote: assist with quoting new business by analyzing historical performance and building realistic process workflows.
• Launch and direct: lead new program launches, manage tooling/equipment trials, and oversee part fabrication for initial rollouts.
