Job summary

Marelli is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Canton, MS team, reporting to the production manager with dotted line to engineering. The role focuses on developing manufacturing processes, documentation, and supplier negotiations to support new product launches.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field with 2–5 years of experience
Certification may be required in some areas
Experience with integrated computer programs and/or applications
Excellent communication, administrative, and organizational skills
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines
Must pass background checks and pre-employment tests, including drug screening

Responsibilities

Develop manufacturing processes for new product launches
Create essential line documents (routers, work instructions) for processes
Negotiate tooling and equipment purchases with suppliers
Prepare reports and participate in meetings (TPDS, Process Plans)
Prepare new business quotes including equipment, tooling, and staffing
Plan manufacturing processes and create technical standards and FMEA
Run process trials, implement improvements, and address defects
Maintain QS documentation and 5S standards, assist with asset transfers
Provide production line support for equipment, quality, efficiency, and maintenance
Drive safety and kaizen activities to improve quality and efficiency
