Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with strong CNC machining experience to develop, optimize, and maintain machining processes and production workflows. You will drive quality, productivity, cost, safety, and efficiency improvements across the manufacturing operation.

The ideal candidate has experience with CNC programming, CAM software, tooling, fixturing, and workflow optimization, and will work closely with machinists, operators, quality, and maintenance teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or related field required.
• 5–10 years of Manufacturing Engineer experience in machining/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in aerospace or regulated, tight-tolerance environments is preferred/required.
• Strong hands-on CNC machining and manufacturing processes knowledge.
• Experience with CAM software and advanced CNC programming.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, work holding, fixturing, and process optimization.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and drafting fundamentals.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for machining and manufacturing problems.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support facility layouts, equipment placement, material flow, utilities, and infrastructure requirements.
• Provide technical expertise in CNC machining, cutting tools, fixtures, work holding, and machining processes.
• Develop, improve, and implement tooling, fixtures, gauges, and other production aids.
• Develop and optimize machining processes, including cutting parameters, tooling selection, cycle times, setups, and process capability.
• Identify and implement opportunities to reduce scrap, rework, setup time, cycle time, and machine downtime.
• Lead or support capital equipment projects from concept to production launch.
• Coordinate and support equipment installation, acceptance testing, process validation, and ramp-up.
• Train operators and production personnel on new processes, equipment, tooling, and work methods.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.

Manufacturing Engineer

Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Status: Exempt

Pay Range: $75,000-$95,000 annually

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer with strong CNC machining experience to support and continuously improve our manufacturing operations. This position will be responsible for developing, optimizing, implementing, and maintaining machining processes and production workflows while driving improvements in quality, productivity, cost, safety, and overall process efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong practical knowledge of CNC machining, CNC programming, cutting tools, work holding, fixturing, process development, equipment implementation, machining cell layout, and workflow optimization. This position will work closely with machinists, operators, quality personnel, and maintenance to develop efficient, safe, and repeatable manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support facility layouts, equipment placement, material flow, utilities, and infrastructure requirements.
• Provide technical expertise in CNC machining, cutting tools, fixtures, work holding, and machining processes.
• Develop, improve, and implement tooling, fixtures, gauges, and other production aids.
• Develop and optimize machining processes, including cutting parameters, tooling selection, cycle times, setups, and process capability.

• Lead or support capital equipment projects from initial concept and justification through equipment selection, installation, commissioning, validation, and production launch.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role within a machining or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in aerospace or other regulated, tight‑tolerance manufacturing environments preferred/required.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CAM software and advanced CNC programming.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, work holding, fixturing, machining parameters, and process optimization.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and mechanical drafting fundamentals.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including the ability to apply mathematics to machining and manufacturing problems.
• Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
