Qualifications

• 4+ years of CNC programming experience with graphical CAM systems.
• Experience with Siemens NX CAM preferred.
• Experience creating complex 5-axis programs.
• Strong machinist background and ability to prove first-piece programs.
• Experience with large-format equipment such as VTLs/VBMs up to 2.5 meters.
• HDGT or Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in interpreting drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, generate, and maintain CNC programs using NX CAM.
• Support programming and process development for large VTLs, VBMs, gantry 5-axis machines, and vertical multi-purpose turn/grind equipment.
• Verify CNC programs prior to shop floor release using Vericut or equivalent simulation software.
• Implement and support Renishaw probing cycles for part validation and process control.
• Train machine operators during new equipment startup, machine rebuilds, and process improvements.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer IV to support CNC programming, process development, and shop floor operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in developing and maintaining machining processes for large-scale equipment while driving improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers, machinists, and operations teams to optimize production and support new process implementation. What’s the Job?

• Develop, generate, and maintain CNC programs using NX CAM or similar CAM software.
• Support programming and process development for large VTLs, VBMs, gantry 5-axis machines, and vertical multi-purpose turn/grind equipment.

• Provide CNC-related technical support to Manufacturing Engineers and shop floor personnel.
• Train machine operators during new equipment startup, machine rebuilds, and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining issues to support daily production needs.
• Support tooling and fixturing requirements associated with CNC machining operations.
• Create and maintain workstation instructions and process documentation.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrixed manufacturing environment.
• Communicate technical information clearly and effectively across operations and engineering teams.

What’s Needed?

• Minimum 4 years of experience with graphical CAM system CNC programming.
• Experience with Siemens NX CAM preferred.
• Experience creating complex 5-axis CNC programs using CAM software.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with advanced machine controls, including:
• Macro programming/sub-routines
• Renishaw probing routines
• Variable-based programming
• Closed Loop Machining (CLM)
• Strong hands‑on machinist background with the ability to set up and prove out first‑piece programs.
• Experience maintaining tight tolerances on large-format equipment such as VTLs and VBMs up to 2.5 meters.
• Extensive machining experience with nickel-based superalloys including Inconel, Rene, Hastelloy, or similar materials.
• Experience within Heavy Duty Gas Turbine (HDGT) or Aerospace manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with Vericut or similar CNC verification and machine simulation software.
• Strong knowledge of machine controls including Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, and Siemens.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational, geometry, and trigonometry skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
