Saab in West Lafayette is in search of motivated, enthusiastic Engineering students who are interested in further developing knowledge in aircraft design and production through a paid Engineering Internship opportunity for Summer 2027.

The Production Support and Design Organization function provides support to production processes as well as design improvement and new design opportunities. Under the guidance of Senior Manufacturing Engineers, this intern/co-op will have responsibilities which include:

• Complete a designated internship project, as assigned by the department manager. The project will be designed to provide the student with an opportunity to practice skills and apply knowledge (coursework) by leading and coordinating an engineering project with deliverable expectations and providing value-added impact to the operation.


• Partner with assigned mentor to solicit feedback and direction as needed, regarding the project assignment.


• Job duties will vary but are designed to meet the development needs of the student, as well as provide context for the completion of the assigned project task(s).


• Contribute to continuous improvement projects in cross-functional teams with quality, manufacturing and tooling.


• Contribute directly to the improvement of manufacturing processes and problem-solving events.

Compensation Range: $21 - $24/hr depending on previous internship experience

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience
