Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Intern, Manufacturing Engineer to assist in producing high-reliability electronic hardware for Tactical Satellite equipment. The role supports SMT soldering, mechanical integration, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work with senior engineers on new product introductions, process changes, and cost/time standards, coordinating with IPTs to move products from engineering to production.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience with soldering and basic electronic manufacturing processes.
• Basic CAD software proficiency (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo).

Responsibilities

• Implement and analyze manufacturing plans and projects.
• Design, develop, and transfer manufacturing tools and systems.
• Estimate manufacturing costs and determine time standards.
• Support cross-functional IPTs to transfer new products.
• Maintain records and reporting systems for operations.
