Job summary

L3Harris in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support the production of cable assemblies, PCBA tests, and complex electro-mechanical assemblies. You will help create work instructions, develop processes, qualify tools, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include establishing labor standards, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and assisting senior engineers with NPI, root-cause investigations, and IPCs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering or related field.
• Experience with soldering and/or basic electronic manufacturing processes preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt preferred.
• Experience with Minitab, JMP or other statistical software helpful.

Responsibilities

• Implement and analyze manufacturing plans and projects.
• Design, develop and transfer manufacturing tools, strategies, and systems.
• Develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.
• Interface with engineering to coordinate release of new products.
• Estimate manufacturing costs and determine time standards for tooling and processes.
• Maintain records and reporting systems to coordinate manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with IPTs to transfer new products from Engineering to Production.
