Textron is offering a 2027 Manufacturing Engineer Intern position in Cartersville, GA. The role involves building plans, tooling, and processes, redesigning tooling for better operator environments, and analyzing layouts to optimize product flow.

You will develop standard work, address quality concerns, explore new equipment to cut scrap and downtime, and monitor key KPIs while coordinating material availability with stakeholders. Textron emphasizes mentorship and hands-on project work.

Qualificações

• Education: Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field required.
• Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office applications, CAD.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and drive to complete tasks and assignments.

Responsabilidades

• Build plans, production tooling, and manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.
• Redesign tooling to improve operators' work environments.
• Analyze layouts and production processes to improve facility layouts for product flow.
• Create reference documents and standardized work for new or improved processes.
• Analyze quality concerns, make recommendations for improvement, and implement ideas.
• Explore new equipment and software to reduce scrap and downtime and recommend changes.
• Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPIs including PPM, line disruptions and NCMT tickets.
• Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Evaluate production processes to increase productivity and enhance the product.
• Coordinate material and tooling availability with stakeholders.
