Broan-NuTone LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern in Hartford, WI. The role supports daily department activities and ongoing process improvement initiatives, offering hands-on experience in a professional setting.

The candidate should be pursuing an Engineering degree (Manufacturing preferred) and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in CREO and MS Office. The position is onsite, full-time for the summer, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Investigate manufacturability and equipment issues caused by design or variation; propose and validate solutions.
  • Develop and implement Autonomous Maintenance documentation for critical automated equipment.
  • Support creation and improvement of Standard Work documents (WI, Process Sheets, Checklists).
  • Utilize time study methods (MOST, MTM) to analyze performance and identify improvements.
  • Collaborate with other engineering team members to drive productivity and cost-savings projects.

This role is designed for a student or early-career professional who is eager to learn, contribute to meaningful work, and develop practical skills related to their field of study or career interests.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestigate manufacturability / equipment issues that are causes by design and current manufacturing variation, propose, and validate solutions to mitigate issue.Develop and implement Autonomous Maintenance documentation for critical automated equipment that included detailing tasks, tools, frequency, and safety requirements.Support ME in review, development, and implementation of Standard Work (WI, Process Sheets, Checklists, etc.).Utilize methodologies of time studies (MOST, MTM).Collaborate with other engineering team members to complete projects related to improvement of productivity and cost savings.QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing and of current Sophomore or Junior status.Must possess effective analytical, numerical, problem solving, and reasoning abilities. Ability to interpret data and make recommendations for improvement.Proficiency in CREO Software.Speak and write English effectively to convey information.Collaborative approach to partner with teammates, suppliers, and customers (both internal and external) successfully, working closely with others in a team environment.
