Job summary

Whip Mix Corporation in Louisville, KY designs and manufactures dental lab solutions. We’re seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design production components, improve processes, and collaborate across teams to solve real manufacturing challenges.

You’ll use SolidWorks, manage BOMs and routings in our ERP, and contribute to new product introductions while applying Lean principles and quality systems such as ISO 13485.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, BOMs, and manufacturing routings.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO 13485 and GMP is a plus.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design prototypes, tooling, fixtures, and production components using SolidWorks.
• Improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Sales to solve real-world manufacturing challenges.
• Conduct process validations, analyze results, and recommend improvements.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing routings within our ERP system.
• Support new product introductions from concept through production.
• Investigate production issues and develop practical, long-term solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that make a measurable impact across the organization.
