Key Responsibilities

  1. Will be the primary representative from manufacturing in design review meetings, ensuring production/manufacturing considerations are effectively integrated into the design process.
  2. Identifies and communicates to stakeholders the key areas of integration requirements from electrical to software needs, to fully build and test a process chamber.
  3. Works across multiple programs/chambers from build to test, involving creation of test scripts, troubleshooting issues, providing inputs on test fixtures, process enhancements, CIP's, etc.
  4. Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Leads manufacturing engineering related projects as required.
  5. Interfaces with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and/or new products. Drives manufacturing engineering ePLC deliverables. Launches, releases, approves and implements or issues engineering change requests as required to support design engineering and floor with new and existing products.
  6. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Leads team in the use of DFx principles to reduce product costs and improve delivered product quality.
  7. Develops and uses test procedures, including assisting with the definition of test specifications with design/software engineering. May work with test engineering on the design and development of test fixtures. May assist in the coordination of test fixture sourcing activities.
  8. Determines root cause analysis for issues that arise during assembly and/or test of systems; drives correction actions; provides failure analysis report as required.
  9. Evaluates work methods, procedures and policies. Develops and maintains new business processes; edits as necessary to ensure current practices are documented. Mentors and trains lower level engineers.
  10. May coordinate outsourcing activities with external/internal suppliers.
  11. Performs Process Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis when working with New Product Development.

Other Requirements: This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools. Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
