Manufacturing Engineer III - 2nd Shift
Job Summary:

Our client in Burbank, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III - 2nd Shift. This is a Direct Hire position.

The Manufacturing Engineer III (ME III) supports operations and production, collaborates on design and project engineering, and develops manufacturing documentation following APQP practices. Responsibilities include equipment and tooling planning, developing manufacturing concepts, leading process improvements, and applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. The role involves working closely with quality, scheduling, and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability, cost targets, and process efficiency.

Responsibilities include:
  • Managing technical aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with specifications
  • Validating manufacturing processes meet requirements
  • Driving product manufacturability and process improvements
  • Creating work instructions and supporting NPI activities
  • Leading cost reduction initiatives and supporting quality and root cause analysis
  • Developing processes for materials like titanium, Inconel, aluminum, stainless steel, and tooling steel
  • Documenting engineering changes and designing tooling
  • Providing technical support and mentorship to other engineers
Qualifications:
  • S. degree in Mechanical or related Engineering discipline with 7+ years of aerospace experience; M.S. degree with 6+ years preferred
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials and sheet metal processes
