Your day-to-day / Responsibilities
- Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing problems through process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, and collaborating with suppliers and operators.
- Refine and improve processes using continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing principles, recommending product changes to engineers.
- Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflows, space, and equipment layout; maintain preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment uptime; coordinate cross-team input and implement changes.
- Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished products, establishing standards, and analyzing failures using statistical methods.
- Evaluate capital equipment investments, prepare cost justifications, design concept drawings for new or modified equipment, and manage implementation projects.
- Develop tooling and fixtures for new products and processes, working with vendors to supply designs.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology, or 2-5 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of CNC programming (G&M Codes) and hands-on troubleshooting experience with CNC equipment (Fanuc, Okuma).
- Experience in facility or manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and good math skills.
- Proficiency with CAD software (Inventor, EdgeCAM, CIMCAD, MasterCam) and basic measuring tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to work independently on projects.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams; preferred experience with Lean, Six Sigma, project management, FMEAs, and quality systems.
Ideally, you will also have
- The ability to self-manage projects with minimal supervision.
