Job summary

Hazelett Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to enhance manufacturing processes and lead capital and process-improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen safety, and maintain high product-quality standards.

This onsite role emphasizes Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, data analysis, CAD-driven design, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, including tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience applying continuous-improvement principles within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD software, with the ability to create detailed designs and specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on root cause analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with technical documentation and presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with experience using data-analysis tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Position Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will enhance manufacturing processes through advanced engineering practices, complex problem-solving, and project management. What You Will Do

Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Two to five years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience is preferred.

  • Related internship experience is preferred.



Work Environment

This role combines office and manufacturing environments and may include occasional travel to customer and supplier sites. Candidates must be comfortable working around production equipment and may be exposed to fumes, noise, and gases from equipment or machinery. The position also requires the ability to perform moderate lifting. Safety shoes and safety glasses must be worn when working in production areas.
