Job summary

Coopind is seeking an Engineer I to determine methods and sequences of manufacturing operations for simple to moderately complex products. You will create work instructions and supporting procedures and help ensure a smooth transition to production.

The role covers tooling design, development, and implementation, addressing issues that impact project completion and productivity. You will provide technical support to production and Quality Assurance, and prepare engineering changes in response to

Qualifications

B.S. Engineering with 2 years of relevant mechanical or electrical experience.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks knowledge a plus.
Ability to interpret engineering diagrams, tolerances and specifications.
Interpret customer specifications and build standards.
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Determine methods and sequences of manufacturing operations for simple to moderately complex products.
Create engineering changes in response to ECRs.
Create work instructions and supporting procedures.
Design, develop, and implement tooling to support the transition to manufacturing.
Identify and resolve issues affecting completion of a manufacturing project.
Provide technical support to production and Quality Assurance to improve productivity and reduce costs.
