Job summary

Neogen Corporation in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production processes, troubleshoot equipment, and drive improvements. You will partner with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain and Marketing on goals and projects.

The role focuses on introducing new products to production, meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity targets, and providing daily engineering support for products,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biochemical/Biosystems, Industrial or Manufacturing).
• At least four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing problem-solving and process analysis methods, including Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing to support production and project goals.
• Support new product development and existing products through process capability studies, process development, Six Sigma initiatives, and value improvement projects.
• Design and coordinate engineering tests and experiments; analyze results and document conclusions.
• Design, procure, and fabricate equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems involving product design, materials, equipment, and processes.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation, test documentation, and technical reports.
• Prepare and manage Capital Equipment Request Authorizations.
• Identify, implement, and manage equipment requirements to support production goals.
• Lead cross-functional project teams as assigned.
