Job summary

Keel is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support engineering activities related to product design, steel processing, fabrication, and assembly. You will help develop manufacturing documentation, support production processes, and ensure manufacturing requirements align with design intent.

You will work with engineering, production, quality, and project teams to apply manufacturing principles, drive process improvements, and maintain safe operations while contributing to continuous improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of related experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• Basic experience with SolidWorks or CAD.
• Basic experience with AutoCAD.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop work packages detailing operation sequences and routings in ERP.
• Support fabrication, assembly, and tooling knowledge.
• Create or modify engineering drawings in CAD and assist fixture design.
• Assist material takeoffs to identify raw materials and hardware.
• Support programming of cutting machines using nesting software.
• Review design docs to ensure specs are captured in work packages.
• Collaborate with production to support fabrication and assembly.
• Help troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive improvements.
• Work with engineering, quality, and production to meet project needs.
• Learn product construction and shop operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties.
