Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for high-reliability subsea penetrator products.

In this role you will collaborate with Production, Quality, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Management to drive daily operations, continuous improvement, and new product introductions while ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in electromechanical, connector, cable assembly, or precision manufacturing.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC).
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for cable and connector assemblies and related subsea interconnects.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support molding, potting, soldering, bonding, curing, assembly, testing, and inspection processes.
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction, cycle-time improvements, yield enhancement, and stabilization.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
  • Provide daily engineering support to production personnel for efficient operations.
  • Design and implement tooling and fixtures to improve productivity and consistency.
  • Drive resolution of nonconformances, scrap trends, rework, and bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering on manufacturability and assembly optimization.
  • Participate in prototypes, process development, and transitions to production.
  • Support qualification builds, FAIs, validation, and process capability studies.
  • Analyze manufacturing metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
