Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in machining or manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings with GD&T knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with machining, part setup, cutting tools, and materials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Comfort working with minimal supervision and setting priorities.
  • Bias toward continuous improvement; challenge status quo.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Own machining processes end to end: part fabrication, verification, and repeatability.
  • CNC programming for boring mills, lathes, and heavy equipment.
  • Machine characterization to determine actual capabilities and adapt processes.
  • Develop PFMEAs, process control plans, work instructions, and ECIs.
  • Specify tooling and equipment; justify improvements in workholding, probing, metrology, automation, and software.
  • Lead root cause analyses to reduce scrap, rework, and warranty costs.
  • Create and roll out standard work across the shop floor.
  • Produce drawings and layouts for new and existing products and factory moves.
  • Cross-functional leadership with production and quality teams to meet deadlines.
