Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Orion Fluids Manufacturing Systems Integration/Test Engineer to join our advanced manufacturing teams in New York. The role focuses on developing weld-related work instructions, ensuring manufacturability, and providing technical support in a cleanroom environment.

The engineer will modify and create procedures, analyze design factors, and collaborate with programs to report status and maintain documentation, with flexibility for off-shift and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Knowledge of production manufacturing and assembly processes.
Technical writing experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and reports; write reports and maintain documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work Friday to Monday schedule.
US Citizen required.

Responsibilities

Modify, update, create and develop weld-related manufacturing work instructions.
Determine the sequence of build and select/design required tools; solve production problems.
Investigate design/manufacturing factors such as equipment availability and manufacturability.
Develop and maintain all assembly documentation.
Troubleshoot anomalies and discrepant hardware.
Provide technical support in ISO class 7 cleanroom environment.
Routinely interface with program personnel and report project status to leadership.
Be available to adjust schedule for off-shifts and weekend activities as needed.
