Hadrian builds software-defined high-precision component factories for the top aerospace companies in the world. We are in search of individuals with the drive to augment manufacturing, helping enable our engineers to build complex, yet elegant software as well as machinists who have a passion for pushing the trade forward.
The Manufacturing Engineer, Factory Development plays a pivotal role on Hadrian’s Core Operations team. The position will include driving process development and process improvement projects at Factory 2, managing installation and build projects for Factory 3, supporting deep root cause analysis problem solving, and design and development of new processes increase productivity, scalability and efficiency.
Lead the design, planning, and buildout of future Hadrian factories.
Establish factory-wide operational standards.
Design functional factory areas and oversee major installation projects.
Take full ownership of projects from inception to completion.
Analyze and resolve complex operational and technical challenges.
Deliver sustainable, high-impact solutions that improve factory performance.
Conduct in-depth technical investigations to identify underlying problems.
Implement robust, long-term solutions over temporary fixes.
Apply systematic problem-solving with a strong technical foundation in manufacturing.
Identify factory areas needing immediate, systematic improvement.
Create practical early-stage solutions to address current inefficiencies.
Lay the groundwork for future technological and software enhancements.
Lead the redesign of existing production processes and the rollout of new ones.
Oversee the implementation of new equipment and capabilities.
Drive initiatives that scale production and introduce previously unavailable functionality.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role (project leadership preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or another STEM field.
(In lieu of a degree: 5+ years of experience in high-intensity production environments.)
Demonstrated success in process/system development within high-growth settings.
Strong track record in project execution.
Proven ability to solve deep technical and operational issues.
Experience in facility deployment and construction.
Background in manufacturing cell design.
Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Competency in software tools such as SQL, VBA, or Python
For this role, the target salary range is $80,000 - $145,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).
This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
