Job summary

Cook Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to provide technical support for day‑to‑day production in manufacturing custom plastic components for medical devices. The role involves near-daily collaboration with production, product development, and quality teams on improvements, validations, and complaint resolutions.

The candidate should have a background in extrusion, polymer processing, and process validation, with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects

Qualifications

• 3+ years of extrusion process development experience.
• 5+ years of work related to polymer processing preferred.
• Process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) preferred.
• Equipment qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides process support for extrusion department.
• Hands-on position with visibility on the manufacturing floor.
• Requires interaction with production, product development, and quality teams.
• Supports product development activities, continuous improvement, CAPA investigations and other quality initiatives.
• Supports production departments’ manufacturing issues with technical support as the process expert.
• Leads technical aspects of process validation projects.
• Assists product development teams with design for manufacturability requirements on new products.
• Manages multiple technically oriented projects coordinating internal and external resources.
• Collaborates on product complaint resolution.
