Worthington Steel in Rome, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support a 24-hour plant operation. You will serve as the primary engineering resource for slitting lines, rolling mills, hydraulic systems, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance.

This role leads capital projects from concept through startup, develops preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, mentors maintenance personnel, and collaborates with production,

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency with CAD and SolidWorks.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary mechanical engineering resource for a 24-hour facility.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment failures with maintenance and operations to minimize downtime.
• Support reliability and performance of slitting lines, rolling mills, hydraulic systems, cranes, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Identify and implement reliability improvements to increase uptime, safety, quality, and productivity.
• Design, modify, and document mechanical system upgrades and equipment improvements.
• Lead capital projects from concept through startup including budgeting, vendor management, scheduling, installation, and commissioning.
