Responsibilities

  • Support daily manufacturing engineering needs for driveline assembly operations, including troubleshooting equipment, process, tooling, quality, and material flow issues.
  • Lead root cause problem solving for safety, quality, downtime, and throughput losses using structured methods and data-driven analysis.
  • Develop, implement, and improve assembly processes to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to ergonomics, standardized work, scrap reduction, cycle time, and OEE.
  • Partner with production, maintenance, quality, controls, materials, and launch teams to deliver robust manufacturing solutions.
  • Lead and support equipment and process changes, including specification development, trials, validation, implementation, and start-up support.
  • Establish and maintain process documentation, work instructions, PFMEA inputs, control plan updates, and standardized manufacturing practices.
  • Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, prioritize issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and model year changes within the assembly area.
