Job summary

Blue Bird Fort Valley is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes, plan improvements, and drive safety, quality, and delivery performance. You will support production lines, develop tooling, labor standards, and document changes to meet customer requirements.

The role emphasizes engineering changes, PFMEA, SPC, and control plans, with collaboration across Manufacturing and Operations in a high-energy plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Accredited University required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident; authorized to work in the United States with proof at hire

Responsibilities

• Production line technical support and tooling provision
• Implement engineering changes with minimal manufacturing impact
• Meet goals for Manufacturing Engineering group and Operations
• Review product design changes using PLM and assess manufacturing impact
• Document and report work activity
• Develop process changes using SPC, PFMEA and control plans
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Produce documentation for ISO 9000 quality system
