Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, select and implement equipment, and oversee automation on the assembly line. The role emphasizes throughput, process capability, and readiness of new production lines.

You will work with cross-functional teams to identify and adopt new technologies, improve tooling, and ensure efficient and reliable production in a global automotive context. Detroit-area facility experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Develops manufacturing equipment proposals by studying plans and fabrication commitments.
• Recommends new manufacturing equipment by identifying vendors and evaluating equipment capability and service history.
• Completes equipment cost projections by analyzing investments, benefits and savings.
• Monitors equipment installations by advising crews.
• Meets production requirements by designing necessary equipment modifications.
• Prepares equipment operators through training and reference resources.
• Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
• Keeps equipment records by submitting documents and updating the asset database.
• Protects company value by safeguarding confidential information and flagging potential infringements.
• Performs all other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities
