Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems for a growing national manufacturer. You will collaborate with commercial and industrial designers to refine product designs, improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and support reliable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with tooling design.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PTC Creo, and Mastercam.
• At least one year of resistance welding experience.
• Experience with hot and cold forming, heat treatment, precision machining, and CNC programming.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data to develop BOMs, routings, and cost structures.
• Create and maintain BOMs and routings in BPCS.
• Develop and maintain engineering policies for BOMs, work centers, routings, ECNs, product development, material standards, and outsourcing.
• Develop routings for current and standard products and support process development.
• Provide design support that aligns products with cost-effective manufacturing processes.
• Research materials and suppliers to identify solutions that meet customer needs.
• Protect confidential concepts and maintain separation between proprietary products and customer designs.
• Collaborate on new process development initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with machine shop, maintenance, fabrication and finishing teams to resolve issues.
• Review installations for ergonomic best practices and suggest improvements.
• Match products to existing processes to maximize use of capital equipment.
• Develop and maintain production standards.
• Maintain engineering documentation and records.
• Provide production-floor support during test runs and debugging.
• Apply tool-design concepts for forming and bending analysis of steel products.
• Shift quickly from planned work to support urgent breakdowns.
