Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

The CNC Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing the production of critical aerospace components. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage expertise in precision machining to enhance manufacturability, improve efficiency, and ensure the highest quality standards for parts used in both commercial and defense aviation.

This company is a well-established aerospace manufacturing firm located in New York City. They specialize in the intricate and precise machining of essential components for the aviation industry, serving both commercial and defense sectors. Their expertise lies in producing high-reliability parts critical for aircraft functionality, such as those found in landing gear and hydraulic systems - contributing to aircrafts from F-16s to 787s.

Description

• Write and optimize CNC programs to create complex parts on 2, 3, 4 and multi-axis MAZAK and OKUMA machines.
• Create and compile necessary documents to aid machine set up.
• Analyze customer prints and develop models of customer parts.
• Aid in managing product workflow from raw material to finished product.

Profile

• Must have CNC machining knowledge of milling, lathe machines.
• Must have a programing background using Mastercam or related software.
• Must be able to create part geometry to develop turning and milling CNC programs.
• Must be proficient with GD&T.
• Experience with expensive materials such as titanium.
• Preferred: college degree in manufacturing engineering or related fields.
• Preferred: familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within metal fabrication environment.
• Preferred: 5 years plus working in a related role.
