The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing lines meet uptime, availability, and reliability metrics, including OEE, capacity, cycle time, quality, and first pass yield, and will continuously improve these metrics through data driven analysis. This role owns individual workstations, tools, and production lines, presenting periodic updates to management on the health of owned areas, and applies Design for X (DfX) principles to improve legacy products and support new product introduction (NPI). The Manufacturing Engineer designs tooling, fixtures, and automated systems to manufacture products at the lowest cost and shortest cycle time, and programs parts for production on Mazak and Tsugami equipment using SolidCam and MasterCam software. The role also qualifies production processes based on dimensional data, control plans, and PFMEAs, works with suppliers and customers to identify root causes of failures and validate process or design changes, and develops and delivers training to operations and maintenance technicians and production teams on new equipment and processes.
