As the Manufacturing Engineer and CNC Department Supervisor, you will have direct influence over our production methods, leading the charge in process optimization, equipment evaluation, and quality improvement. You'll work hands-on with cutting-edge CNC equipment in a dynamic contract manufacturing environment and collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals.
Develop and optimize CNC programs using G-code and various CNC control formats.
Provide hands-on expertise with a variety of CNC turning equipment, including:
Review customer drawings and create accurate cycle time estimates for proposed processes.
Apply CAD/CAM engineering experience to support design, programming, and process planning.
Select and optimize cutting tools to maximize efficiency and tool life.
Oversee and coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
Monitor production output and quality metrics, implementing actionable improvements as needed.
Evaluate new and used machinery for future programs and growth.
Maintain thorough documentation and communication with cross-functional teams.
Proven experience and fluency in G-code programming and CNC operations.
Deep knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing best practices and process improvement.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern digital tools.
Energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new machines and technologies.
Directly report to the company President, ensuring visibility and influence.
