Job summary

Pennex in Leetonia, OH is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead capital projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and optimize fabrication equipment. You will drive design, budgeting, and start-up activities aligned with the approved plan.

The role emphasizes problem solving, automation support, and collaboration across production, maintenance, and suppliers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical discipline from a four-year college or university.
• 5+ years of related engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 10 years of related engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and direct major capital projects associated with Fabrication activities.
• Coordinate schedules and liaise between production, maintenance and contractors for equipment start-up.
• Design engineering activities for equipment utilization and optimization.
• Assist in development of preventive maintenance programs for fabrication equipment.
• Support robotic activities including programming and integration of cells.
• Participate in training, PPAP runs and supplier evaluations.
• Contribute to future growth strategy and cost-quoting for manufacturing methods.
