Responsibilities

• Support cable assembly and electro-mechanical manufacturing processes.

• Build and support prototypes and new product introductions.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturability, quality and efficiency.

Manufacturing Engineer - Cable Assemblies

Our client is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with experience in cable assembly and electro-mechanical manufacturing to support a high-mix production environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and manufacturing a variety of cable assemblies and will be comfortable troubleshooting production issues, improving processes, developing fixtures, and supporting new products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support cable assembly and electro-mechanical manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and perform root cause analysis
• Develop and improve assembly, testing and inspection processes
• Create work instructions, fixtures and tooling
• Support engineering changes and product revisions
• Build and support prototypes and new product introductions
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturability, quality and efficiency
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Production teams

• Experience in cable assembly/manufacturing is highly preferred
• Experience working in a high-mix manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with a variety of cable constructions, connectors and termination methods
• Experience with cable testing, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 is a plus
• Experience with manufacturing documentation, ECOs, fixtures and process improvement
• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree or equivalent technical training considered
