Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a manufacturing process engineer in Archbald, PA to modify procedures, review defects, and guide assembly teams. The role emphasizes quality and regulatory compliance while integrating inspection and testing into production plans.

You will evaluate tools and process plans for efficiency, assist engineering with design concepts, and identify opportunities to improve flow and reduce cycle times. Cable harness experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; higher degrees preferred.
• Experience with cable and harness manufacturing.
• Experience with electromechanical assembly manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Windchill PLM, SAP ERP, and Apriso preferred.

Job description

Modifies manufacturing processes procedures as required. Reviews defective hardware and provides instruction to return to acceptable condition. Supports manufacturing assemblers by interpreting work instructions and aiding in overall production. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Reviews performance of tools and process plan to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. Identifies opportunities to improve flow, reduce span times and hours per unit.

Basic Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required (Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Experience with cable and harness manufacturing
• Experience with electromechanical assembly manufacturing.
• Experienced with J-STD, IPC-610, IPC-620 (certifications not needed)
• Experience with Windchill PLM, SAP ERP, and Apriso softwares preferred.
