Job summary

GEOTEK in Stewartville, MN is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to improve production processes on the factory floor, troubleshoot issues, and implement automation and capital improvements in a continuous manufacturing environment.

You will work on-site, split time between office and plant, lead process improvements, support PLC/controls, develop standard work, conduct trials, and train teams. The role offers competitive pay and benefits including 401(k) match and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
• Experience working around automation systems (PLC/VFD exposure preferred).
• SolidWorks or 3D CAD experience.
• Comfortable splitting time between office and production floor.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using structured root cause methods.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Support and enhance factory automation (PLCs, controls, mechanical, hydraulic systems).
• Identify and help implement cost-reducing automation opportunities.
• Develop and maintain standard work and process documentation.
• Conduct engineering trials and analyze production data.
• Support capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Train production teams on new processes.
