Job summary

Image Associates Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate activities in steel fabrication, tooling, welding, robotics, and mechanical assembly. You will provide engineering support to improve product quality and reduce production costs.

Responsibilities include working on plant layout and process improvement, automation/robotics projects, and writing PLC/CNC control logic. You will develop work instructions and fixtures, review production reports, and pursue safe, high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Welding, or similar field. Will consider partial degree.
• At least three years’ manufacturing engineering experience, preferably with fabricated or assembled products made of steel
• Experience working in an automated environment.
• Experience setting times standards, lean manufacturing, line balancing, and process flow.

Responsibilities

• Work on plant layout and process improvement projects.
• Work on automation or robotics projects. Must have some ability to write control logic for PLC’s and CNC control.
• Conduct studies to maximize workflow and process utilization.
• Ensure product designs, documentation, and assembly instructions are accurate, maintained and effective.
• Develop work instructions, designs assembly fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
• Review production reports and solve manufacturing and maintenance problems, reducing costs and preventing shipping delays.
• Develop safe work practices. Seek opportunities for improvements in product and process quality.
• Work with employees to resolve problems and avoid grievances.
